How Do I Enable Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication via Authenticator Apps
Enabling two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your SocialBee account. When 2-factor authentication is enabled, you'll be asked for a second authentication code at login after entering your username and password.
Two-factor authentication codes can be generated via:
- Authenticator apps
- Email Address
1. Two-Factor Authentication via Authenticator Apps
In your SocialBee dashboard, click on the menu in the top-right corner of your screen (1) and navigate to Edit Profile (2).
In the Settings menu, scroll down to find "Two-factor authentication: add an extra layer of security to your SocialBee account." Click on the toggle.
Enter your SocialBee password and press Continue.
Choose to receive security codes via Authenticator App.
Scan the code with your phone using an authenticator app.
⚠️ Make sure you have installed one of the following apps on your phone: Google Authenticator (iOS / Android), Duo Mobile (iOS / Android), Authy App (iOS / Android).
You should instantly receive a 6-digit verification code on your phone. In the SocialBee app, click Continue and enter the received code.
You're almost done. Save the recovery code in a safe place, click Continue, and you're all set.
2. Two-Factor Authentication via Email Address
In your SocialBee dashboard, click on the menu in the top-right corner of your screen (1) and navigate to Edit Profile (2).
In the Settings menu, scroll down to find "Two-factor authentication: add an extra layer of security to your SocialBee account." Click on the toggle.
Enter your SocialBee password and press Continue.
Choose to receive security codes via Email Address.
Save the recovery code in a safe place, click Continue, and you're all set.
How to Disable Two-Factor Authentication
If two-factor authentication is enabled, the toggle will be green.
To disable it, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings and click on the "Two-factor authentication: add an extra layer of security to your SocialBee account" toggle.
- Enter the recovery code you received when you enabled 2-factor authentication.
- Click "Done".
