What is a Content Category?

Categories will help you organize your content and also have a better mix of content. It’s the best practice used by all top social media specialists.

Organized content is a few times more effective. This is why it is best to create a category-based scheduling. Besides, don’t you think it’s a lot easier to share a “promotional” post every day at noon, and then share a fun quote at 8 pm? This is exactly what you can do with category-based scheduling.

Basically, all you have to do is make sure your posts are organized into the main categories of your interest, and that those categories are set up properly in the schedule.

You can always add individual articles to each category or create new categories that suit your needs. We recommend, however, that you start by using the preset categories. You can add your promotional messages, time-sensitive news, curated content, and your own blog content by simply importing the links or creating each post manually into the category of your choosing.

If you need a different category, like Articles about your service/product, let’s say, then you can go ahead and create one, whether Evergreen or Share Once, to curate all the content about your business in one place.
