Posting to Instagram (Through the Buffer Integration)

You can share single-post images directly using SocialBee's direct integration with Instagram. You can see more about this by clicking here.

By using SocialBee's companion mobile app, you can post to Instagram natively while redirecting your post to either your feed, stories, or direct message. You'll be able to publish the way you want it, with full customization in the Instagram app. You can read more about how you can publish through our mobile app in this article

Alternatively, if you're interested in posting directly, you can do that through our Buffer Integration. To do this, you need to have a Buffer Account (a free account works perfectly). Alternatively, you can choose our Zapier integration for direct posting.

How Do I Connect My Instagram to Buffer?

Once you have logged into your Buffer account, you will have to connect the Instagram Business Profile you want to share content to. In order to do this, click on "Manage Channels" at the bottom left corner of the screen.

On the new page, you will be able to see all your connected channels (if there are any). Click on "Connect New Channel" to add your new profile to Buffer.

After clicking on that, you will have a list of profile types that you can connect. On this screen, you will have to click on Instagram Business Account.

A pop-up will let you know that it is necessary to authorize this change with your Facebook Personal Profile. You can read more on this here. To continue, you will have to click on "Authenticate with Facebook".

The next steps will ask you to proceed using your Facebook Personal Profile. It's important to make sure that you are logged into the profile that is an Admin of the Facebook Page connected to your Instagram Business Profile.

Now, you will be able to select the profiles you want to connect (and the matching pages), give Buffer all necessary permissions (do not disable any of these), and, finally, validate that the connection has been completed.

After you've returned to Buffer, you will be prompted to select the channels you want to add. Make sure to tick the right profiles and click on "Add to Buffer" at the bottom right corner of the pop-up.

How Do I Set up My Profile to Post via Buffer?

Connecting profiles directly via Buffer is no longer available. You will have to find your Instagram Business Profile in SocialBee and click on "Posting Setup". You can see more details on how to connect this type of profile by clicking here.

Once you've entered the Posting Setup menu, you will find Buffer under the Advanced section. Click on that and then go on and add the account to SocialBee.

You will be prompted to authorize SocialBee to read your Buffer account. All you have to do here is click on "Allow Access".

The final step is selecting the right profile you want to post to Instagram on. Once that's done, your posting setup is completed and you can start creating your content.

If you don't have an Instagram Business Profile, you won't have access to their Direct Scheduling in Buffer or SocialBee so you will need to use the SocialBee Mobile App. Because Instagram doesn’t allow actual scheduling to personal profiles, the mobile app will send you a reminder when it’s time to post something you’ve scheduled.

What Does It Mean When "I've Filled My Queue Up"?

If you've ever encountered this error, you most likely are using our Buffer Integration to share content to your Instagram Business Profile.

What this means is that you've reached the limit of your Buffer queue that is available for your plan, for example, free accounts get 10 post slots that they can fill in Buffer - but this isn't a limitation you have in SocialBee.

In order to fix this and start posting again, log in to your Buffer account and remove the posts that are pending in your queue.
