How Do I Post Instagram Reels?

Reels are like Instagram's short-form video content, and they can really boost your engagement on their platform. Because of this, SocialBee has a workaround to sharing them via Reminders.

Posting to Business Profiles Directly

Posting Reels directly is available via SocialBee for Business Profiles ONLY. Additionally, the Reels should be under 15 minutes in duration and have an aspect ratio of 9:16.

To choose where you want to share an Instagram post, first, you will have to customize the post for each profile.

Then, for the Instagram profile, at the top-right corner, you will be able to choose where you want your posts to be shared from the drop-down menu – in this case, it should be Reel.

Posting to Personal or Creator Profiles via Reminders

Any post that does not match our requirements for direct posting, regardless of the reason, will automatically be set to publish via Reminders. So, make sure you have followed all the steps described in the article focused on our mobile app. When this happens, you will see a mobile phone at the bottom right corner of your text editor.

You will also see one in your category view, right next to the profile icon that will post via Reminders. In this case, the Instagram profile.

Media File Recommendations

In order to post an Instagram Reel, your video must meet the following requirements:

  • File Type: MP4, MOV
  • Resolution: 1080x1920 or greater
  • Video Settings: H.264 compression, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive, AAC audio at 128kbps+
  • Duration: Up to 15 minutes (direct posting for Instagram Business Accounts)
