How Do I Post Instagram Reels?

Reels are like Instagram's short-form video content, and they can really boost your engagement on their platform. Because of this, SocialBee has a workaround to sharing them via Reminders.

Posting to Business Profiles Directly

Posting Reels directly is available via SocialBee for Business Profiles ONLY. Additionally, the Reels should be under 60 seconds in duration and have an aspect ratio of 9:16.

To choose where you want to share an Instagram post, first, you will have to customize the post for each profile.

Then, for the Instagram profile, at the top-right corner, you will be able to choose where you want your posts to be shared from the drop-down menu – in this case, it should be Reel.

Posting to Personal or Creator Profiles via Reminders

Any post that does not match our requirements for direct posting, regardless of the reason, will automatically be set to publish via Reminders. So, make sure you have followed all the steps described in the article focused on our mobile app. When this happens, you will see a mobile phone at the bottom right corner of your text editor.

You will also see one in your category view, right next to the profile icon that will post via Reminders. In this case, the Instagram profile.

In the SocialBee Mobile App

Like with any other profile that posts via Reminders, once you receive the notification and open it, you'll be able to preview the post details in our mobile app. You'll see a thumbnail of the video, the caption, and the date and hour at which it was scheduled.

The next step is to tap on "Share Post" and you will see two prompts. First of all, you'll have to check that you are logged onto the right profile in your Instagram app.

Then, you will receive a confirmation that your caption has been copied. You will have to paste this in the Instagram post once you get there.

Once you click "OK" the Instagram app.

Sharing the Post to the Instagram App

After you've clicked share post, you'll be prompted to choose between Feed and Story. To share the reel, leave this screen. As soon as you see it, it means that the files you were sharing via SocialBee have been stored in your phone.

In the Instagram App

Once you have the video saved in your phone by our companion mobile app, you will have to open the Instagram app again and create a new post. Click on the plus sign at the top right corner and then select Reel.

As this is a video from your gallery, you'll have to select it and not film a new one. To do this, click on the bottom right corner.

The video from SocialBee will be your most recent file. Tap on it to select it.

Once you tapped it, you'll open a new screen that allows you to preview your video. Click "Add" at the top-right corner to add the video to your Reel.

You will be taken back to the first screen to edit your Reel. Here, you have full access to the tools that Instagram gives you including adding effects, an audio, and more! If you are ready to post, tap on "Preview".

After you tap on Preview, you'll be able to see your whole reel, from start to finish, and make any final edits you may need. Click on Next once everything looks alright.

The last, and final step, is reviewing your post. Paste the caption from the SocialBee app, change the cover picture, tag people, and all the other tweaks you would like to add. Once you're done, tap "Share" and you're done!
