How Do I Add Custom Thumbnails and Covers to Videos and Links?

⚠️ Each platform uses different terms for this feature; for instance, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and TikTok refer to it as cover or cover photo, while LinkedIn and Youtube use the term thumbnail

How do I add custom thumbnails?

Open Post Editor, select your social media profiles, and upload your content (video or link).

Click on the Custom Thumbnail icon found in the bottom-right corner of the video.

A pop-up will appear asking you to   “Customize” the post for each profile. This is mandatory as Custom Thumbnail is not currently supported by all social profiles.

Click on the Custom Thumbnail icon of your video (bottom-right corner) to add the custom thumbnail. Once done, click on  “Apply thumbnail”. Repeat this process for each social profile selected.

How do I change my custom thumbnail?

To change your thumbnail, all you have to do is click the Custom Thumbnail icon in the bottom-right corner of your image (from where you added the thumbnail initially). 

You can upload a new thumbnail or select a frame from your video, then click “Apply thumbnail”.

What social media platforms support custom thumbnails?

Custom thumbnails are not supported across all social media platforms. In the table below, you will be able to find a detailed breakdown of this.

* Adding Custom Thumbnails for links is not available at the moment for Facebook, Threads, and X (Twitter). However, adding a link to your post will generate a link preview.

** Uploading a thumbnail from computer is not available for TikTok videos. However, you can add a custom thumbnail by selecting a frame from your video.
