LinkedIn Permissions

The first time you will connect a LinkedIn Personal Profile or Company Page to SocialBee, you will be prompted to allow us the access necessary to your profile so we can post on your behalf. On this screen, you have the option to change the permissions you give us on your profile. However, if you do that, you remove the necessary steps that allow us to send your post through or to connect other pages you might need later on.

When this happens, you will get the “ Insufficient Permission” error when trying to post, or you won't be able to see certain Company Pages you manage in your list.

What do I do if I can't see all my company pages?

If you want to add a new Linkedin Company Page, but can't see it in your list of managed pages in SocialBee, you need to first make sure you're a super-admin of the Page you want to connect with the LinkedIn Profile you're logged into.
Once you've checked that but still can't see the page, go to your Permitted Services and search for SocialBee. You should see it under "Services you've added".

Once you located it, all you have to do is click on “Remove”. This will delete all the permissions you have given SocialBee in terms of access to your LinkedIn Personal Profile.

What do I do if I can't post a first comment?

You may get the following message when you try to schedule a first comment for your LinkedIn posts:

To reset the LinkedIn permissions, follow these steps:

1. Go to Permitted Services on your LinkedIn profile (Settings > Data privacy).

2. Find SocialBee in the list of apps and click Remove.

3. Reconnect your LinkedIn from the SocialBee dashboard (Social Accounts > find your LinkedIn profile > click "Reconnect").

Insufficient permissions error

If you've ever noticed a post fail with this error message for your LinkedIn Personal Profile or Company Page, it means that SocialBee does not have sufficient permissions in your Permitted Services.

To fix this, the easiest way to regain them is to completely remove the SocialBee app from your Permitted Services and reconnect your accounts to SocialBee (make sure you don't have a lot of content assigned to your LinkedIn Personal Profile or Company when doing this). To do that, just click on "Remove" at the top right corner.

Once you've done this, you'll have to come back into SocialBee and reconnect your LinkedIn account.
