Here's a step-by-step guide on how to post Stories:

Once you have entered the Post Editor, make sure to have Instagram selected as the social media profile to which you want to post.

Click on 'Customize for each profile'.

In the top-right corner of the text box, you will find a drop-down menu to choose the destination of your post. In this case, select 'Story'.

Add a photo or video.

Save your post as “Approved” or as Draft. See here the difference.
