How to connect a social media profile to SocialBee
- After creating your account, the Onboarding Wizard prompts you to connect your first account.
- If you want to connect more profiles, simply go to SocialBee's dashboard to do so.
- Click on the buttons of what account you wish to connect.
Common issues when connecting your accounts
1. Facebook connection isn’t working
This usually happens if:
- The Facebook profile you’re using doesn’t have any Facebook Pages connected to it, or
- You don’t have Admin access to the Facebook Page you’re trying to connect. Make sure you have the Admin role in Page Roles / Business Settings before trying again.
2. Instagram connection fails
Typically caused by:
- Your Instagram account being a personal profile instead of a Business or Creator account, or
- Your Instagram profile not being linked to the Facebook Page you want to connect. Set your Instagram profile to Business/Creator and link it to the correct Facebook Page in Settings → Linked Accounts.
3. LinkedIn Page connection doesn’t work
This may happen if:
- You’re trying to connect a LinkedIn Page, but your LinkedIn account only has a personal profile (no Page exists associated with it), or
- You don’t have the required permissions on your Page; you must be a Super Admin of the LinkedIn Page.
4. Google Business (GMB) connection fails
This typically means:
- Your Google account doesn’t have any Google Business locations associated with it, or
- You’re not added as an Owner or Manager for the business. Check Google Business Profile Manager to confirm the location exists and that you have the correct role.
If you’ve followed all the instructions for connecting a social profile to SocialBee but the account still doesn’t appear, here are the recommended steps to troubleshoot the issue.
1. Confirm you’re logged into the correct social profile
Before reconnecting, make sure you’re logged into the correct account on the social platform.
Sometimes the wrong profile is active in your browser, which prevents SocialBee from detecting the right one.
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies
Cached sessions can interfere with account detection.
Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, then restart the browser and attempt the connection again.
3. Disable browser extensions temporarily
Extensions—especially ad blockers, privacy tools, or script blockers—can prevent permissions from loading correctly.
4. Try a different browser
Some browser settings or extensions might still cause issues.
Testing the connection in another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) helps rule out browser-related problems.
5. Check social platform permissions
Social networks may require you to grant specific permissions to SocialBee.
Make sure:
- All required permissions are enabled
- Nothing is restricted or partially authorized
If permissions were previously denied, the profile may not appear until they’re corrected.
6. Confirm the page or profile role
If you’re adding a Facebook Page, Instagram account, or LinkedIn Page, ensure you have the required admin or management permissions on that platform.
Without the correct role, the profile will not appear inside SocialBee.
7. Try connecting in incognito/private mode
Incognito mode disables most extensions and cached sessions automatically.
If the profile appears here, the issue is likely related to your browser environment.
8. Contact our support team

Why may Instagram analytics or engagement features not be available?
If you notice that your Instagram analytics, engage, or tags are not working in SocialBee, it’s usually related to how your Instagram account is set up.
Common reasons why this happens:
-
Instagram Professional Account Without a Linked Facebook Page. Analytics, tagging, and the Engage dashboard are only available for Instagram professional accounts that are linked to a Facebook Page.
If your account isn’t linked, these features will not appear in SocialBee. -
Account Not Reconnected After Linking
After linking your Instagram account to a Facebook Page, you need to connect it via Facebook to reflect these changes.
How to enable anlaytics, engage, and tagging for Instagram:
- Make sure your Instagram professional account is linked to a Facebook Page.
- Log in to SocialBee and reconnect the Instagram account as a new account through the dashboard via Facebook.
- Once reconnected, analytics, tagging, and the Engage dashboard will be available.

If you have a Lifetime License, your tweets will be automatically set to publish via Reminders.
